Fowey Memory Café only met once during December, however we made it a special Christmas event! Yvonne Bennett kindly came and played keyboard leading us in festive song. The merry band of volunteers enthusiastically played the five minute panto of Cinderella, and played Guess That Tune on the handbells, (OK, maybe we should have practiced more)!
We are busy planning our programme for 2019 and hope to have a wide range of activities covering everyone’s interests as well as all the usual opportunities for conversation, and of course all served up with lovely tea and cake!
The Café is held on alternate Thursdays from 2pm to 4pm at Squires Field Community Centre, Park Road, Fowey, PL23 1EF. We aim to provide a friendly and supportive environment where guests can spend time together. It is FREE to attend and tea, coffee and homemade cakes (thanks once again to Sue and other committee members) are provided, along with a helping of FUN! The activities are designed to exercise the brain and improve abilities for anyone who feels that their memory could do with some help. There is also the opportunity for family members/ carers to learn more about memory loss and access advice and information. New guests and carers are always welcomed. Just give us a ring for more information.
