Date: 1 October 2020

The committee recently held a meeting to address some of the issues that have arisen since the pandemic had closed all the Memory Cafes in Cornwall.
The committee felt it was a good time to inform you that we are very much still here, and I’m sure you will be happy to hear we have re-elected the same people to serve as the steering committee for the year 2020/21. For this we had an AGM in which the financial condition of the café was also discussed, and we can inform you the café is still in a financially strong position.

The committee will work towards the day when this Pandemic is beaten, and then hopefully the situation will have improved sufficiently for us to reopen the café for you all.
Unfortunately, it looks very much like we may have to forgo the Christmas lunch at the Paris Inn this year due to current government rules, however if the rules change then maybe we could run something at Hens Horn Court, depending on how any could attend and whether two sessions would be needed to get everyone wishing to attend. As you can see, we are looking and discussing all options available to us, but it is difficult when we do not know what the rules will be in a few months’ time.
Be assured the committee is active and will do its best for everyone when we are able.

If you wish to have any further information please contact us.
