Welcome to Downderry Memory Café

OUR NEXT MEETING IS ON THURSDAY 13th February 2020 at St Nicolas Church, Downderry for creative art with a spring theme and music from Mike, Claire and Phillip for a sing a long.  

We will be closed for the whole of January – starting a fresh new year with lots of activities – see below:

13th February – Creative art and music to welcome everyone back for an exciting new year.

27th February – Drums4Fun!

12th March – Yvonne Toms ‘an afternoon with Joyce Grenfell’.

26th March – Alan Payne to talk on “Spring Birds’ with slides and interaction.

12th September – We made, cooked and ate a lot of biscuits!

29th AUGUST –  Venue – St Nicolas Church Downderry – 1.45pm Volunteers Meeting.  2.30pm Decisions regarding the programme, lunch, Christmas party and plans for 2020.

15th AUGUST-  Venue – St Nicolas Church Downderry  – Summer Fair.

1st AUGUST –  Venue – St. Nicolas Church Downderry  – Sensory afternoon – fruit and vegetables – 21 of us had a lovely afternoon identifying a variety fresh vegetables, fruit and herbs and discussing eating fresh, cooking, preserving and flavouring.  Welcome to Julie our new volunteer!

18th July  – Lots of funny Poems and a lovely Cream tea with fresh strawberries – a real family atmosphere.  Welcome to Lani our new Volunteer!

9th MAY –  ‘Drums4Fun’ with Graham Kemp. THIS WAS FANTASTIC WITH 20 GUESTS.
