Friday 7th February at the regular monthly meeting, Liskeard Memory Café celebrated their 10th Birthday.
The meeting started with entertainment provided by the ever-popular Wendy J Bassett with her usual excellent and entertaining and extremely well received performance of songs from the 50s and 60s.
We were also joined at this Meeting by the Mayor of Liskeard, Rachel Brooks. There was then a birthday party, featuring a beautiful birthday cake which was kindly donated, having been baked by the daughter-in-law of one of the committee members and iced by a friend. This cake was ceremoniously cut by the Mayor and Wendy who stayed on and joined us in our celebrations.
