Friday 3rd February, after 13 years at the Methodist Church Hall, we had our first Café Meeting at our new ‘home’, the Public Rooms in Liskeard.
As it was our 13th Birthday we had to celebrate with a cake, beautifully made and donated by a sister of one of our volunteers.
The Cafe started with the lovely Rachel Best entertaining us with a mix of songs from the 50s and 60s. She has been to one of our Cafes previously, and yet again proved as popular as ever.
Afterwards we had our usual coffee/ takes, including the Birthday Cake, chat, quizzes etc, plus an auction for generously donated prizes of two £50 vouchers towards dinner and afternoon tea at two quality restaurants in Plymouth, The Leandra and St. Elizabeth’s House.
Thanks go, as always, to our wonderful team of volunteers and helpers, and to the friendly and extremely helpful staff at the Public Rooms – a great venue!
A very successful and enjoyable Café at our new location. Here’s looking forward to more successful Cafes in the public Rooms.
